Versatile aspherical hyperzoom lens with true wideangle to extreme telephoto
Featuring internal focusing with non-rotating front element this hyperzoom lens allows you to follow a moving subject throughout a wide range making sure you never miss an important shot.
By utilizing a multi-group zoom cam system, this lens maintains a more consistently high level of performance throughout the focal length and focusing ranges. It also allows this lens to focus closer in the critical wide-angle ranges, than some other zoom lenses.
This Hyperzoom also provides high optical performance due to the use of Special Low Dispersion (SLD) and Aspherical Glass. It offers excellent portability because of its compact design (weighing 570g), and since the front lens barrel does not rotate during focusing or zooming, the use of polarizing and graduated filters, and of a "perfect hood" to minimize flare, is greatly simplified.
