This telephoto zoom lens for the Sony Alpha range covers a large range of focal lengths. In addition it has fast and quiet focusing thanks to the high torque Super Sonis Wave motor (SSM). Optically it has Extra Low Dispersion elememts for best definition right to the edges and also has a rounded aperture for soft and smooth out-of-focus areas. Although it's an autofocus lens, it is also possible to override this and also limit the focus range (to stop excessive "hunting"). It also has three focus hold buttons.
