TruePic V Processor
The fast and efficient TruePic V image processor gives more processing power than ever to this PEN camera. It means that powerful art filters can be incorporated into the camera (for both stills and movies), along with multiple exposure modes (superimposed images) and Intelligent Auto functions. Art filters include Pop Art, Soft Focus, Grainy Film, Pin Holde, Diorama and Gentle Sepia.
12.3MP Stills and High Definition Movies
Record movies in fantastic 720p HD quality stereo movies thanks to the high resolution Live MOS sensor. This gives an effective pixel count of 12.3 million, suitable for poster sized still enlargements.
AF Live View
Unlike many digital SLR cameras, the Olympus PEN E-PL1 has Live View so you can monitor the image that is actually reaching the sensor rather than a reflected image from a mirror and prism. As an optional upgrade, there is available an electronic viewfinder which when hooked up to the E-PL1 gives a Live View image too.
High ISO for Low Light
The Olympus E-PL1 has ISO sensitivity up to 3200, so that even in the dimmest conditions it is possible to go on shooting without using flash.
