Description

The Nikon Coolpix P7000 offers full creativity and precision within the dimensions of a compact camera. It has a large image sensor for better noise rejection and excellent sensitivity and image stabilisation. Optics are first class incorporating ED glass and you can even shoot in RAW.

7.1x Wide Zoom ED Lens
Covers the equivalent of 28-200mm focal length, for just about any photographic situation. ED glass elements ensure razor sharp quality right through the zoom range.

Large Image Sensor
The large 1/1.7" CCD sensor on the Coolpix P7000 records more light than a smaller sensor and therefore reduces errors which show as image noise. This 10.1 megapixel sensor is capable of producing stunning images.

5 Way VR (Vibration Reduction)
The following five functions all help to eliminate blur caused by camera shake:

  • Optical (lens shift) Image Stabilisation
  • Hybrid IS (Optical and Electronic)
  • Motion Detection – Freezes action with high shutter speeds and increased ISO sensitivity
  • ISO Sensitivity up to 6400
  • Best Shot Selector – Fires up to 10 shots in succession and picks the sharpest

Full Advanced Creative Control
For full control, the Coolpix P7000 has the traditional P/S/A/M controls for manual exposure. Key functions such as ISO, white balance, and exposure compensation are accessible via dial controls. Creative aids such as tone level information and an electronic virtual horizon are invaluable, plus retouching, noise reduction and lighting controls can be edited, post-shooting.

EXPEED C2 Image Processor
Nikon’s latest processors are tailored to individual camera models and allow fast operation for the advanced functions featured on the models. For the Coolpix P7000 it means you can shoot up to 45 pictures continuously at around 1.3 frames per second, and the camera has ultra-fast startup, subject tracking and Interval Timer Shooting.

Monitor and Viewfinder Options
The Coolpix P7000 excels here as it features both a large 3” ultra high resolution (921,000 dot) display plus an optical viewfinder with dioptric adjustment.
