The touchscreen on the LUMIX DMC-GF2 allows you to simultaneously operate autofocus and the shutter release, giving you more creative control with the greatest ease of use. When reviewing images, the touchscreen also allows you to scroll through your photos.

Intelligent Auto (iA)
Makes it easier than ever to produce great images without complex camera setup. Seven different detection functions are also used and can operate simultaneously.

Live MOS Sensor
Combining the benefits of CCD and CMOS image sensors, the GF2 can record images with the vibrancy of CCD and the low power consumption of a CMOS chip.

Venus Engine FHD
This image processing chip is designed for both still image and movie data processing and accommodates functions such as advanced noise reduction and Intelligent Resolution Technology. The latter improves image detail by separating image areas by their pattern, such as smooth areas, edge details and contrasty details.

Full HD Movies
The LUMIX DMC-GF2 can record movies in Full HD (1920 x 1080) AVCHD quality. Sound quality is great too thanks to the Dolby Digital Stereo Creator audio system. Touch AF is possible for movies, giving a rack-like focus utility which is akin to professional setups. You can also take still images from video footage and divide clips, all on-camera.
