Standard to Ultra Telephoto
This 10x zoom lens covers everything from standard perspective to something more akin to the image size as seen through binoculars. What’s more it’s compatible with digital SLRs with both APS-C and full 35mm sized image sensors. An ideal, flexible lens for motor sports, aviation and wildlife photography.
Optical Stabilisation
The OS system within this lens gives up to four extra stops of motion steadying. You can choose from two modes:
Mode 1: General Photography
Mode 2: Panning (such as at motor races)
Superb Optics
The 50-500mm DG lens features four SLD (Super Low Dispersion) elements for low levels of chromatic aberration throughout the zoom range, and Super Multi-Layer Coating ensures that flare and ghosting are drastically reduced.
Hyper Sonic Motor
The HSM (Hyper Sonic Motor) inside the Sigma 50-500mm lens provides fast and quiet focusing. In addition to this, the Read Focus system also minimises image distortions or aberrations during focusing. The rear focusing system also means that attachments such as petal hoods can be used as the lens barrel does not rotate during focusing.
