The Sony Cyber-shot HX300 is designed to be a valid alternative to a digital SLR camera and its design achieves this both in terms of handling and performance. The Exmor R^TM CMOS image sensor has an astonishing 20.4 effective megapixels and records detail even in the dimmest light. Ready for Action
The HX300 comes with Optical SteadyShot that is effective at cutting camera shake even at long zoom settings or when on the move. For those most fleeting action moments the camera is equipped with a BIONZ processor allowing for 10 frames per second continuous shooting.

Full Creative Control
The most appealing aspect of and DSLR is the creative freedom it gives using manual controls. The HX300 is also equipped with a manual ring for smooth zoom and focus, a jog dial and assignable custom functions. As with DSLR cameras there are the traditional P/A/S/M modes for full or partial manual control. For the creative minded there are also nine creative features that can be applied to still, movie or Sweep Panorama images.

Intelligent Auto and Superior Auto
For those occasions when you need a great shot quickly, the camera is equipped with Intelligent Auto to make those important scene selection decisions. For fast moving action there is Superior Auto which detects subject motion and adjusts accordingly for super-sharp results.
