This huge effective pixel count ensures that image quality is pin sharp, even when greatly enlarged. Its total pixel count of 18.31 million means that the effective resolution remains the same regardless of aspect ratio (16:9, 3:2 or 4:3).

High Speed Shooting
Thanks to the Live MOS sensor and Venus Engine FHD processor, the DMC-GH2 can shoot at a frame rate of 5 per second with its mechanical shutter, at full resolution. If image resolution is set at 4 megapixels that shooting rate increases to an amazing 40 frames per second.

Full HD Movies
As well as top quality still images, the DMC-GH2 is also capable of recording full HD quality movies in 1920 x 1080 50i AVCHD format plus Dolby Digital Stereo Creator for superior audio quality. Several movie options are available for different styles…
