Automatic flash metering
Compatible with all EOS digital SLR cameras, the MR-14EX Macro Ring Lite offers fully automatic E-TTL II flash metering for accurate and consistent flash exposures in all situations. The Guide Number of 14 provides enough flash power even when working at high magnifications.
Achieve creative lighting results by controlling the two flash tubes either together as one or independently. Use the six-stop ratio control to create even and shadowless lighting or strongly side-lit effects by using the six-stop ratio control.
Rotate the ring lite around the front of your lens to light from the sides or above and below.
Wireless Master flash
You can control background lighting by using the MR-14EX as a wireless master unit to trigger remote EX-Series Speedlites. This provides a third group of light you can use to efficiently light other areas of the scene.
Working at high magnifications can make focusing difficult. Two focusing lights provide subject illumination to aid manual focusing.
Two different modelling flash settings enable you to fire a strobe pre-flash with the depth-of-field preview button. The default setting fires the two tubes at the appropriate power setting to allow accurate judgment of where shadows will fall.
Powered by 4x AA batteries or an external battery pack like the CP-E4, the MR-14EX is compact and portable. AA batteries provide fast recycling so you can continue to shoot without having to wait between shots.
